Meet the Team - Adam

Meet the Team - Adam

You might have met Adam in our Lower Sloane Street flagship store while collecting your hire piece for Royal Ascot or a special occasion. With a passion for Japan and martial arts, Adam is known for his eccentric statement rings and style.

Adam grew up in Bromley, South East London. Before entering the realm of tailoring and menswear, he worked in a variety of roles, from a waiter in a Michelin-starred restaurant, to being a Games Maker for the London Olympics. While these roles may seem unrelated to his current position, they have played a pivotal role in shaping his work ethic and client-focused approach.

Now with over two years at Oliver Brown, Adam thrives in the world of tailoring. He is particularly drawn to the notion of helping clients look their very best, whatever the occasion may be - "It’s all about making sure people look the part and feel confident". Adam’s enthusiasm for his work is matched only by his affection for the team he works alongside. He describes it as a “little family”.

A typical day for Adam involves ensuring that all hire pieces are perfectly prepared and ready for collection, as well as maintaining a pristine store environment for customers. One of the highlights of his career has been dressing Chris Broad, the renowned travel influencer behind Abroad in Japan. Chris was so impressed with Adam’s service that he gave him a personal mention in a podcast episode, a delightful recognition of Adam’s expertise.

Adam’s appreciation towards style extends beyond suits; he has a keen eye for jewellery, particularly his bold statement rings. His favourite piece is a linen suit made from Art Du Lin, one of the finest linens from Northern Europe. Crafted at Oliver Brown, it reflects the brand’s standard of quality and craftsmanship.

Outside of tailoring, Adam’s main passion lies in martial arts, where he has earned his black belt. The discipline, focus, and cultural richness of martial arts resonate deeply with him and have become integral to his approach to life and work. Interlinked with his love for martial arts is his fondness for Japan, his favourite destination and one he has been lucky to visit multiple times. His next trip will be with his martial arts club, an adventure he eagerly anticipates.

Looking ahead, Adam is determined to elevate his career within the tailoring industry. He is particularly excited for the bustling atmosphere of Royal Ascot season in the upcoming year and what opportunities may arise alongside.
