When silk plush ceased production in 1968, Melusine became its natural successor, a special long-haired fur felt that is the closest modern alternative to the original antique silk top hats. Standing at 5½" tall, this beautifully crafted hat delivers a noticeably elegant profile with a polished finish, finished with a grosgrain ribbon band and white satin lining. It captures much of the refinement of its antique forebear, pairing beautifully with a morning coat and striped trousers for daytime events, or with tails for more ceremonial occasions.
